As Director Public Affairs Europe, Florian Wastl is a member of Mars Inc.’s Brussels-based Government Relations Service Centre. He is primarily responsible for economic affairs and international trade, and also serves as Mars’ representative on the Advisory Board of the Bund für Lebensmittelrecht und Lebensmittelkunde (BLL).
Florian joined Mars in November 2017. He has been active in government relations, public affairs and communications for 10 years. Before joining Mars, he was Head of Corporate & Government Affairs at the Berlin-based agency MSL Germany. Prior to that, Florian held positions at another Public Affairs consultancy in Berlin and worked in the UK Cabinet Office in London that supports the UK Prime Minister and UK government.
A German national, Florian holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from King’s College London. After living in Berlin for 10 years, Florian has recently relocated to Brussels where he now lives with his wife and two children.
